Days of Nothing-ness

Last Saturday, we did nothing amazing...we did not go anywhere or do anything...
We are supportive of our own...HAH
I really like this basket picture...it's pretty awesome...
We had so much fun not doing anything all day!
(Kate--Next time you are home, you are doing nothing with us!)

We weren't in Kansas anymore...??? Should I have called animal rescue?

Learning To Be Me

Why, hello there fellow people of the online world!
I have decided that I am not going to fall into the college drab of clothing..I will not wear sweats and t-shirts! Well, not all the time.
I will start wearing cute, fashionable clothes every day because I rock...cocky? Yes! I refuse to look like every other college kid out there...REFUSE!
I was SUPER bored before my class today...
This is what I wore today...Military, cargo, yet girly:
Shirt: Gap (old)
Jacket: Ann Taylor Loft
Cargo Pants: Target
Shoes: TOMS

All-Powerful

Today, my dad sent me a very sweet email. It said:
"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed."-1 Peter 4:12-13, NIV
First of all, it is incredibly sweet that he always finds things to help me in difficult and happy times.
Second of all, this is perfect. Everyone goes through difficult times, but sometimes these times surprise us. Everything happens for a reason. All of your troubling times make you stronger and prepare you for something in the future. God always looks out for you, and He is always right beside you.

Finding My Path

Lately, I have been going through I very difficult time. I am sorry I have not had any new blog posts lately.
For four years I have put myself second. I have not once thought about what I really wanted for myself. I put someone else, who let me down, first. I let this person rule my world and everything I ever wanted.
Since this person let me down, I have to focus on what I want. I do not know what I want anymore...but I do know that this will not control me. I will overcome this pain. My life is MY life, and I am the only one who controls what I do with it.
This is the scariest thing I have ever had to do. I was not prepared or ready for this to happen. I lost my best friend and now it is only me. My family means the world to me, and I appreciate them more than they will ever know. I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel without their support and love.
I will overcome this. I will not crumble. I will be strong. I will succeed.

Fillippe

Isn't it funny how one simple picture could start a whole conversation or story?
Take a look at this picture:
This little fella' is called Fillippe...he's the cup. When my family goes to Disney World we are absolutely insane...we go nuts. First of all, we LOVE Disney World. Second of all, we are crazy to begin with...imagine us at the most magical place on earth. Our last day at the Wilderness Lodge (the resort we stay at when we go to Disney World) we got lunch. Kim (my older sister) got a very small drink because she got a kids meal. My family usually takes pictures in the Wilderness Lodge on the last day...Fillippe managed his little way in every picture. Sneaky little lad! This picture is Fillippe saying bon voyage to the Wilderness Lodge and Disney World.

Nerds

The world says hello! I also say hello.
Today, I FINALLY finished all of my stressful tests for this week! It was wonderful...as soon as I put that pencil down, I ran/skipped out the door and cheered gleefully! Okay, I didn't really do that...however, I did have an extra hop in my step. I had been SO stressed about these tests that the boyfriend decided to take me on a celebratory date! Especially since we haven't gone a date since before I started college...but that's another story. I did not take any outfit pictures of what I wore for our date night...oops.
Question: Isn't college about staying out all night past your high school curfew?
Answer: Nope...Either I have a really boring life or I'm just that great of a kid. No matter what, I always end up at my dorm before 11...sad I know...don't judge me. Seth (boyfriend) and I really focus on our college work more than anything. Good grades are more important than whatever else is going on. We always think about what is best for our future.
I know, I know...we are nerds...really, really big nerds.
I believe that is all for now...over and out/hup 10-4/beam me up scotty...something of that nature...you get the point.
