Today, my dad sent me a very sweet email. It said:
"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed."-1 Peter 4:12-13, NIV
First of all, it is incredibly sweet that he always finds things to help me in difficult and happy times.
Second of all, this is perfect. Everyone goes through difficult times, but sometimes these times surprise us. Everything happens for a reason. All of your troubling times make you stronger and prepare you for something in the future. God always looks out for you, and He is always right beside you.
